Really great review, though not very up-to-date for 2009. Lots of new IDEs appeared such as, for instance, RubyMine (http://www.jetbrains.com/ruby/index.html) Aptana, RadRails, etc.

Though, RubyMine is MY favorite – a real killer Ruby on Rails IDE.

Can you change the font in Net beans? I know this sounds retarded, but I’m really really sick of blocky fonts. Everytime I see them I start having scary flashbacks of the 2004 ‘Linux-Wifi-Wars’
